The Nottinghamshire Bobbin Lace Society was formed in 1975 to form a point of contact
between local lacemakers, provide resources, promote exhibitions and lace
gatherings and to promote a forum for lectures and visits of interest.
The Society runs Pop-in sessions at Sherwood Community Centre in Nottingham
usually in the months in which there are no Lace Days or Courses.
Lace Days are held five times a year, January, March/April, June, September/October and November/December. There is usually a Speaker and one or more stalls of various lace suppliers at each meeting.
Society membership is open to all ages. Members receive a newsletter four times a year.
Details of all our meetings can be found by clicking the links below.
Classes are available in the following areas :-
| Farnsfield | Sutton-in-Ashfield | |
| Beeston | Kirkby-in-Ashfield | |
| Huthwaite | Skegby | |

These are mostly privately run. Details are available from the Secretary
The Society holds a one day course with tutors early in March usually in Nottingham.
Also, there is a weekend residential course held at Brackenhurst, Southwell in July.
